Aboard the Laika

As Ensign "Vic" Tallerman boarded his newest ship, the Laika, he heard the shout of "Officer on deck!" and his troops immediately snapped to attention. He had to hide his smile as he turned to adress them.

"Good day to you all. First, I'd just like to say it is an honor to have you under my command. Now, I'd like you all to return to your posts and wait for further instruction. If anybody needs me, I'll be at the bridge," He gave them a quick salute.

"You are dismissed," and at once, they all made their way to their stations.

Once Tallerman arrived at the bridge, he put in a call to General Jones.

"This is Ensign Tallerman of the Laika, calling from Von Braun as requested by General Jones..."

[General Jones]

General Jones was in his quarters on the Mjolinir when he received the call. He put it up on the screen as he looked thru his mask as the young ensign. “Greetings ensign, I trust everything is going well.” He paused and sat back “I need you to head out for Luna 2 and bring it under federation control, please make all effort to get to it and set up a base there.” A serious expression could be seen thru his mask as he cleared his throat “this is important, I am intrusting this to you, handle it for me and I will reward you, General Jones out” he finished and closed the screen.

Vic gave the General a quick salute as he signed off, then made his way to the chair.

"Attention, all hands prepare for take-off!" Vic said over the intercom. "We are to proceed to Luna 2."

The Laika proceeded to lift off from its hangar in Von Braun, making its way to Luna 2.

[General Jones]

The General took a step out side to a deck that had a opening to the sky. He looked up at where luna two was supposed to be and nodded.
