Welcome everybody! This is the official thread for our startup conditions.
We will start when we:
- Have three players for each faction, DOZ and EFF, or two of each, and two civilians. - Complete the stat sheets for EFF and DOZ units. They are mostly complete. - Have a leader for both factions. (DOZ is Crosswire.)

I agree. The top priority right now should be getting warm bodies in here to play and get invested in things. Once we start playing all the other issues with our current system can be ironed out through trial, error, and experience. Showed the link of this roleplay off to some people in the hopes of getting some interest.

Priority is going to be finishing stats. You don't have access to the stats atm do you? I'm working on them now. But there is a lot.
I suggest giving both factions 100k to start, and only starting with their capitals. Capture everything else.

I don't have the means to edit or modify the stats if that is what you're asking. However I can see them from the link and you are right, there is a lot to be done. I think I could offer to help out where possible or at least make suggestions.
100k starting out sounds good and forcing the players to go out and capture everything besides their capital will stop people from just bum rushing one another right off the bat. Good thinking.

We need to think of 2 launch locations for space. I only got the earth ones, and side 3.
I am taking a break for now, but I'll try to keep working on the stats. I would say, just use your best judgement, we just gotta fill all these in. I am editing the EFF and DOZ side by side to try to make them fair.
There's about 150 units that need done, so this will be rough. I'll try to make you able to edit while logged into your gmail.

Looks like I can already edit the documents, I just never properly tried until now. I'll get to work to help you out.
What do you mean by launch locations for space? What are the launch locations exactly?

The launch locations will be listed on the territories. If you look, EFF already has 3.
That is where you are allowed to deploy units. You cannot just deploy then anywhere, it has to be a "launch location".
We can rename it if we can think of a better name.

I'm still somewhat confused. Launch locations are where you are allowed to deploy units, but I don't understand what you mean by deploy. As in units we produce/buy can only be placed in certain spots? What about units created in factories located in territories that aren't 'launch locations'. Could you elaborate a bit, explain things to me?
Also I'm slowly helping to flesh out the stat sheets.

Okay, I was mistaken. The launch zones are actually where you can launch into space. They are linked to the drop zones in space. My bad.

Oh I know what you're talking about! In Gihren's Greed there are drop zones and launch zones. There's no launch zones in space since, well, you don't need special facilities to move a space ship that's already in space . Ships or units on Earth however can only make their way into space from a handful of places on Earth, all of which are major production centers. Off the top of my head I know there are seven launch zones on Earth which I believe are: Jauburo (Located in South America), New York, California Base, Australia, Odessa, Kilimanjaro, and Peking. In the game Hawaii and Belfast are also production centers, but they aren't launch zones and you can't explicitly invade them from space in the game. Drop Zones/Launch Zones are the same. The seven points you can drop from space to the Earth land right next to their respective launch point.

That sounds legit. I don't think we need too many though, as we need a way to limit entry/exit to create "chokepoints" for strategic bottlenecking. We want one faction to be able to deny another entry if they are in the situation to do so.

How many do you think is enough? Also I got in contact with Audisport. He wants to start up a Skype group so we can all more easily communicate with each other.

I think 4 is enough. Skype... I will need to download, but that could work. Is that the best method of communication? Will we just use it for development?
I suggest we have a vote for actual chat methods for the RPG. That way people can communicate in the way that they find the best, such as teamspeak, steam, or skype.

That sounds good. I think honestly Skype might be the best option, that or Discord. I already have Audi on Skype, so I could easily make a group with him, me, and you (once you make/get a Skype account).
